The Home Department of the Library has possession of the most comprehensive database regarding the local county.
The Library holdings of the Home Department contain books, journals, magazines and other printed media types, as well as sources which include information about the town of Prijepolje and its surroundings, its nature, people, past, culture, economy and mentality.
Important and authentic sources of information about this region are the serial publications and collected writings from scientific symposia. The following can be singled out: ” Sandžak ” journal first published on February 1932. Since 1938 it has been renamed several times to ” Raška “ and ” Novi Sandžak “. From March 1st 1952 the journal ” Glas Polimlja “ and later on ” Polimlje “ has been published.
Besides the retrospective and regularly collected monographic works, the Home Library also comprises the legacy of architect Oliver Minić and gift – collections by Miodrag Dragiša Radović and Muhamed Čelebić.
The library is situated in the very center of the town and it is open for members and visitors every day 8 am to 6 pm. Here, you may also do photocopying and scanning of documents, use the Internet and EBART media documentation.
