Jusufagic’s Family House

Jusufagic’ s house represents a typical beys house in these areas. It was built on a hill surrounded with a big and spacious garden.

The ground floor was built of stone while the first floor was constructed in a wooden framed skeleton system with stone – mortar filling. The ground floor served for winter accommodation and the first floor was used for sleeping during summer. The four – sided roof with falling eaves and covered with tiles is very harmonious. A rear exit on the first floor made it possible to leave the house freely in case of unwanted visitors and that was the common characteristic for all the houses at that time.

Amongst the old houses the most distinguished are those of following families: Secerapic, Cicic, Spirtovic, Bisic, Musabegovic, Musovic, Cuzovic and others.
