Specialising in Bosnian pies — meat burek, cheese pie, spinach pie and potato pie — it operates around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The pies are baked in traditional round trays and served hot, accompanied by a glass of soured milk.

A new bakery has opened at the old address on Svetogorska Street, but it is not Buregdžinica Sarajevo nor any continuation of it. The buregdžinica itself is currently not operating — as announced on their Facebook page, they were left without their entire inventory and equipment and have no concrete information regarding a reopening. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all guests for years and decades of support.
