Progar is the most western village territory of Belgrade, also the most western village of municipality Surčin.
From Surčin is 18 km away and 38 km from Belgrade.
Has about 2000 inhabitants.
With its vegetation and preserved nature is one of the biggest tourist potential of the municipality Surčin. In the environment of the village is a large area under the forest: the forest Bojčin, Crni Lug and Jasen forest of whose total area is 2200 ha.
Village Feast is Petrovdan ( 12. 7. ).
